What is the best age to start tennis lessons?

Children can play tennis at any age, but if your goal is to train  professionally, the right age is 5-6 years, once children have developed coordination, attention and psychomotor skills.

How can you become a professional tennis player?

The key to becoming a professional tennis player is training.  Consistency and training methodology should set the training plan for each player. Motivation is important, but the mix between dedication to training and passion for the game can easily form a champion. Family support also has an impact on training, a positive attitude and encouragement will help coaches as well. Routines and training must be approached with professionalism, as happens in other disciplines such as athletics, swimming or gymnastics.

For what tournaments can my child train at Star Tennis Winner Club?

At Star Tennis Winner Club we prepare children for national and  international tournaments.  At the same time, children have the opportunity to compete in tennis events that we host within the club.

What rankings are available for juniors?

There are national rankings according to age and category imposed by the  Romanian Tennis Federation. The most important for juniors are the ITF rankings. These rankings include very important events for juniors such as: Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon or US Open played in the same period as the events for seniors.

How often should my child train?

An optimal training for an intensive tennis program is 6 days a week.   The number of hours depends on the age and level of the player, following the evaluation established together with the coach. Training sessions may
include intensive tennis training and a specific physical training program  that corresponds to the player's age.

Can I test for free one tennis lessons?

We understand very well the fear of allocating money on something  without knowing if the child will be at least a little interested. Therefore, for children up to 14 years old, we offer them a free session on behalf of the Club, to try this sport.
